Les Simmonds and Associates (LSA) was founded by Les Simmonds, a fully qualified broadcast television and radio professional and a graduate of RMIT and ABC TV Australia.

Since 1982 Les has been involved in Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) technologies and is one of the leading innovative CCTV consultants in Australia. Les has designed, project administered and tested the largest and most sophisticated digital and analogue CCTV systems in Australia.

Our office includes SCEC (Commonwealth Governments Security Construction Equipment Committee) endorsed Class C document containers, Class B document shredders and secure alarm and surveillance systems for total client information security.

industry activities and achievements

In 2001 the Premier of NSW awarded Les Simmonds, the Premiers 2001 Public Sector Award, Certificate of Achievement, Silver Award for Best Business Practice for Business and Management for his role in the NSW State Transit Authority Remote CCTV Monitoring of Sydney Harbour Wharves.

In addition, Les is:

• Chairman of the Standards Australia Non Broadcast Television Committee which has subcommittees for, CCTV, Medical Video, Industrial Video, Professional Camcorders, Consumer Camcorders and a Non Broadcast Video Testing.
• A regular contributor to CCTV and electronics magazines.
• A speaker at industry conferences where he delivers new CCTV technology papers.
